Officers are looking into a “serious incident” where multiple shots were fired at a Cookstown home early Tuesday morning.
South Simcoe police responded to a property on Mumberson Street Nov. 5 at about 4:25 a.m. Preliminary reports indicate a small, dark SUV was potentially involved.
“The motive behind this act remains unknown at this stage, therefore residents are urged to remain vigilant,” the department said in a media release. “The investigation is ongoing and more information will be provided as it becomes available.”
No injuries were reported.
Officers “responded promptly, and a thorough investigation is underway” involving members of the department’s uniform patrol, forensic identification unit and criminal investigation bureau.
