Newmarket woman charged with forgery

BRADFORD - On Thursday, June 22, 2017, a suspect came in to a Bradford pharmacy to have two prescriptions for narcotics filled. The pharmacist became suspicious and followed up with the doctors listed on the forms, then called the South Simcoe Police Service. The prescriptions were determined to be forgeries. An officer took over the case and contacted the suspect who was located and arrested.

A 27-year-old Newmarket woman was charged with two counts of uttering a forged document and breach of recognizance. She will appear in court in July.
