INNISFIL - On Wednesday, June 28, 2017, around 7:30 a.m., South Simcoe Police Service officers responded to a call of a workplace accident at Friday Harbour in the Town of Innisfil. Officers assisted Innisfil Fire and Rescue and Simcoe County Paramedics with victim care, then identified witnesses to the accident.
The victim had been struck by a skidsteer loader while working at the construction site. The victim was taken to a Toronto trauma centre where he remains in serious condition.
The case was taken over by an investigator from the Ontario Ministry of Labour.
