OPP looking for suspect after morning robbery at convenience store

Police say suspect entered Midland business around 2:30 a.m. and demanded cash before fleeing on foot

MIDLAND — Provincial police are asking for the public’s assistance following an early Monday morning robbery at a Midland business.

Shortly after 2:30 a.m. on Nov. 25, Southern Georgian Bay OPP officers were dispatched to a report of a robbery at the Circle K convenience store on William Street.

Police say the suspect entered the store and demanded cash before fleeing on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect's face was covered, but police have released a photo captured during the incident.

Police said extensive patrols were conducted in the area and the investigation is continuing with assistance from the detachment’s major crime unit.
