OPP on the hunt for Tottenham tire slasher

Nottawasaga OPP have released this grainy surveillance image of a suspect wanted in connection to tire slashings in Tottenham.

NEW TECUMSETH — Provincial police are searching for a suspect after a vehicle's tires were slashed recently in a Tottenham parking lot.

Nottawasaga OPP says the vehicle was parked overnight in the Royal Canadian Legion lot at 25 Richmond St. E.

Police say the video obtained shows that at approximately 1:43 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 15, the white male approached the vehicle on the passenger side and proceeded to "stab the tires."

"The suspect then departs the area while placing an item in his pocket, last seen heading northbound on Elizabeth Street," OPP stated in a news release.

The culprit was wearing an all-black hoodie, blue jeans, and black and white shoes, police say.

Investigators are requesting that anyone living in this area who have video doorbell cameras or home exterior surveillance to review their footage to see if there's anyone matching the description.
