Barrie police are asking the public to keep an eye out for a stolen pickup taken from a south-end home Thursday morning.

At 5:54 a.m., officers were advised of a vehicle theft that occurred overnight.

Police learned a grey 2024 Dodge Ram Sport with a black hood, a black tonneau cover, sunroof, black running boards and Ontario licence plate CB25560 had been parked in the driveway of the southwest Barrie registered owner’s residence at the time of the theft.

The pickup, which was parked at 5 p.m. Wednesday, was stolen at 2:20 a.m. Thursday, according to police.

Police said the theft was captured by a nearby home video surveillance system.

Attempts to locate the stolen pickup truck were undertaken, but it has not been found.

Police are asking the public to keep an eye out for the truck and to call 911 if it is seen.

Police are also reminding everyone who owns a vehicle to ensure it is locked, valuables are removed, parked in a garage if possible, and to consider using aftermarket products that are available to secure valued possessions.
