BRADFORD -  On Sunday, Sept. 3, 2017, around 2 a.m., South Simcoe Police service officers were called to a Innisfil campground for a domestic incident. The female half of the argument left to stay at a friend's home in Bradford. About an hour later, the male suspect attended the friend's home, (allegedly) kicked the door in and assaulted the friend and his girlfriend while armed with a hatchet. The man fled before officers arrived, but was located at the campground later in the day.

A 44-year-old Innisfil man is charged with two counts of assault, theft under $5,000, mischief under $5,000 and weapons dangerous.

He will appear in court in October. Neither victim required medical attention.
