Barrie police conducted a commercial vehicle inspection blitz on Thursday, charging one driver and issuing warnings to several others.

Police said their traffic unit conducted the inspections “to help make sure the commercial motor vehicles that are operating on our streets are doing so safely.”

One person was charged with failing to display a device, as there was no recent inspection on the vehicle, according to police.

Two other drivers were issued cautions for having improper documents, and two other drivers were cautioned as their oil reservoirs on the brake master cylinders were low.
