Police look for man accused of robbing Circle K with a handgun

The suspect fled the store on foot with a quantity of cash

Investigators with the Barrie Police Service are seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect following a convenience store robbery.

On Friday, June 15, 2018, at 3:18 a.m., a suspect entered Circle K Convenience store, located at 420 Leacock Dr. in the City of Barrie armed with a handgun. The suspect made a demand for cash. The employee complied and the suspect fled the store on foot with a quantity of cash. The employee was not physically injured as result of the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.

The suspect is described as:

  • Male, white
  • 35 to 40 years
  • 5’8” to 6’
  • Heavy build
  • Wearing a camouflage baseball hat, green t-shirt and blue jeans
  • Armed with a handgun
