Police on scene at Edgehill Dr. for firearms investigation

There is no threat to public safety, police say

Barrie police were at an older bungalow on Edgehill Drive in the city's west end Sunday, and their firearms investigation continued into the afternoon as officers removed evidence from the home.

Two large police vans were parked at the side of the home, located near Pringle Drive at 412 Edgehill Dr.

Officers were seen going in and out of the residence and removing what appeared to be at least two 3D printers.

Police could also be seen carrying out several boxes of items from the rear of the house and loading them into the vehicles.

One of the clear plastic boxes appeared to contain small tools and electronics.

Police say there is no threat to public safety since the investigation is only related to that address.

There has been no additional information released by Barrie police.
