Barrie police search for Jeep Cherokee stolen from parking lot

Police say theft happened Monday afternoon on Quarry Ridge Road, near the Barrie hospital, while out-of-town owner was at appointment

Barrie police are on the lookout for a Jeep Cherokee stolen from a Quarry Ridge Road parking lot in northeast Barrie on Monday. 

From the investigation that followed, police have determined the 2016 Jeep Cherokee, with Ontario licence plate CSFM 895, was stolen between 1:10 and 2:15 p.m., while the out-of-town owner attended an appointment in a nearby building.

Quarry Ridge Road is located near Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre. 

The navy blue Jeep had been locked and the owner was still in possession of both the primary and spare keys.

The stolen Jeep also contained a newly purchased 2,200-watt generator as well as some personal property and purchased items, such as dog food and butane fuel cells.
