Police search for Mac's robbery suspect

Barrie Police are looking for the public's assistance in identifying a suspect responsible for a robbery that occurred in the early hours Monday morning.

On Monday, June 26, 2017 at 4:30 a.m., Barrie Police received a hold up alarm from Mac's Convenience, located at 280 Dunlop St. W., in the City of Barrie. The employee working reported to police he saw a suspicious male outside the store wrapping his face with some type of clothing while approaching the entrance. The male entered the store, immediately approaching the clerk and (allegedly) punched him while demanding money from the till. He swiftly left the store with the small amount of cash he obtained. The employee received minor injuries that did not require further medical attention.

  • wearing grey long sleeve shirt, blue jeans, white nylon gloves, running shoes and carrying a black duffel bag, covering his face with a loose shirt
