Police seek assistance following downtown break and enter

Barrie Police Service are looking for the public's assistance in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a break and enter to a downtown business overnight.

On Friday, Sept. 22, 2017 at 1:50 a.m., a break and enter occurred at the Fundoozie’s restaurant, located at 66 Dunlop St. W., in the City of Barrie. A male suspect is observed on video surveillance throwing a brick through the glass patio door and gaining access to the building. The suspect spent a few minutes rummaging through the premise but did not seem to find what he was looking for as he was last seen running northbound Mary Street a few minutes later. Review of further video surveillance in the area shows the male walking on Dunlop Street West in the Toronto Street area just minutes before the break and enter.
