Police seek assistance in locating missing man

MUSKOKA LAKES TOWNSHIP - Members of the Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are requesting the public's help in locating Christopher Steele, 31 years old from Muskoka Lakes Township.

Steele was reported missing to police on Mar. 16, 2017 at 8:20 p.m. He is described as:

  • White
  • Approximately 6' 1" in height
  • Approximately 280 Lbs. in weight
  • Stocky build
  • Short curly brown hair
  • Blue eyes

The snow vehicle Steele was on is described as:

  • Polaris 800
  • Black in colour
  • With registration number 1AM6A2

An initial OPP investigation revealed that Steele was last seen in the Lake Joseph area where he was operating his snowmobile as he attended Round Island to do some maintenance and repairs.
