The South Simcoe police street crime unit has charged a Bradford man and seized a loaded handgun and thousands of dollars with of drugs following multiple search warrants in Bradford.
On Wednesday, March 30, police executed Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrants at two residences in Bradford and one vehicle.
Police say they seized suspected cocaine with a street value of approximately $40,000 and also found a loaded .45-calibre semi-automatic handgun with seven rounds of ammunition.
Shaun Krawiec, 25, of Bradford, has been charged with 14 offences, including possession of a restricted firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, firearm possession contrary to prohibition order, possession of suspected cocaine, trafficking suspected cocaine, possession for the purpose of trafficking, and failure to comply with a judicial release.
The accused was held for a bail hearing.
Barrie police also assisted with the investigation.
