An Orillia man is facing drug and weapon charges after police executed a search warrant earlier this month.
Members of the Orillia OPP Community Street Crime Unit, Central Region Emergency Response Team, Canine Unit and front-line officers executed the warrant Sept. 2 at a home in southwest Orillia.
In a news release, police said they seized more than 300 grams of cocaine and about $100,000 in Canadian currency.
As a result, Dakota Funge, 20, has been charged with possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine), possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000, possession of a prohibited weapon, and failing to comply with a release order.
He was held for a bail hearing Sept. 3 in Barrie court.
