Original story - Friday, Dec. 29, 10:50 p.m.
The Barrie Police are seeking the public’s assistance to identify a male youth following a theft. The incident occurred at Jump Plus, located at the Georgian Mall, at 509 Bayfield St., in the City of Barrie.
On Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017, at 4 p.m. a youth had been captured on video surveillance trying on an Apple Nike Series 3 watch. Assuming Santa failed to deliver this Christmas; the youth removed the watch and placed it into his pocket, and left the store.
The clothing worn by the youth is quite distinguishable. Police believe that anyone who may know him will recognize the clothing and/or the second youth who had accompanied him. The youth appears to be less than 18 years of age, therefore his identifying facial features have been protected.
Anyone with information is asked to Constable Knight of the Barrie Police Service at 705-725-7025, ext. 2534, [email protected], or contact Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS, or online.
