The Barrie Police Service and the Ontario Provincial Police will continue searching for Mandy Thompson Thursday morning. Investigators will be canvassing residential neighbourhoods and businesses along Penetanguishene Road and throughout the northeast end of Barrie. Police Search and Rescue Teams will continue to further their search efforts into Oro-Medonte Township.

A woman believed to be Mandy was captured on video surveillance walking northbound on Penetanguishene Road on Friday, Feb. 3, at 10 a.m. Mandy has the ability to travel a significant distance in a short period of time and police are requesting that anyone living in the area(s) being searched to thoroughly check their properties including barns, sheds, vehicles, garages and any receptacles on their properties.

Investigators have received new video surveillance of a black tow truck parked on Penetanguishene Road near Napoleon Home Comfort on Friday, Feb. 3, 10:59 a.m. Investigators believe the tow truck had been hooking up a vehicle and are looking to speak with the driver in efforts to obtain any further information that may assist in locating Mandy.

Mandy is described as:
    •    5'8
    •    Medium build
    •    Short red/brown hair
    •    Brown eyes
    •    Wearing a black knee length jacket, white sweater, jeans and white running shoes.
