On Jan. 29, 2017 at approximately 5 a.m., police responded to a disturbance call at an apartment complex on the east side of Midland.
The investigation revealed the male suspect was extremely intoxicated and threatened to kill one of the police officers. Further investigation revealed the suspect caused damage to a vehicle in the apartment building parking lot.
Subsequently, the male was arrested and charged accordingly. The accused is being held pending a Bail Hearing in Barrie on Jan. 29, 2017.
Charged is Stephen Cawker, 53 years old of Midland, ON with:
- Utter Death Threats section 264.1(1)(A) Criminal Code
- Mischief Under $5,000 section 430(1)(A) Criminal Code
- Fail to Comply with Recognizance of Bail section 145(3) Criminal Code
