Seven people face 41 charges in ongoing robbery investigation

Victims were reportedly lured to wooded areas for drug transactions then robbed or assaulted

INNISFIL - Over the last month, members of the Community Mobilization and Engagement Unit (CMEU) have been conducting an investigation into unreported street robberies in the Alcona area.

A group of adults and teens have been identified as the suspects. In some cases, victims were lured to wooded areas for drug transactions when they were robbed or assaulted. The Street Crime Unit and the Criminal Investigation Bureau have assisted with the investigation.

To date, seven people have been arrested and 41 charges have been laid.

A 16-year-old boy from Thornhill:

  • robbery x2
  • conspiracy to commit an indictable offence x3
  • fail to comply-recognizance x5
  • assault with a weapon
  • possession of a weapon

An 18-year-old man from Thornhill:

  • robbery x2
  • conspiracy to commit an indictable offence x3
  • fail To comply-recognizance x4
  • assault

A 19-year-old man from Richmond Hill:

  • robbery
  • conspiracy to commit an indictable offence x2
  • fail to comply-recognizance
  • assault with a weapon
  • resist arrest

A 16-year-old boy from Richmond Hill:

  • robbery
  • conspiracy to commit an indictable offence x2
  • assault with a weapon
  • assault

A 15-year-old boy from Innisfil:

  • robbery x2
  • conspiracy to commit an indictable offence x2

A 16-year-old boy from Innisfil:

  • robbery
  • conspiracy to commit an indictable offence

A 19-year-old man from Innisfil Robbery

  • conspiracy to commit an indictable offence
