'Several thousand dollars' stolen from unlocked vehicle

BRADFORD - A 43-year-old Brampton man reports that several thousand dollars were stolen from his work van when he was parked outside a home on Leith Drive in Bradford. The man said the money vanished from the front seat of his unlocked vehicle while he was unloading material at the home on April 17, 2018 around 9 a.m.

At 11 a.m. he discovered the cash was missing after he left the job site to deposit the cash at the bank. South Simcoe Police Service officers canvassed the area for surveillance video. As a result, a description of a suspect who appears to be male was obtained.

The suspect is described as having a heavy build, average height and white or light skinned. The suspect was wearing a light grey hoodie with the hood up and drawn around the face, a black jacket, light grey track pants, black shoes and black gloves. The person may have something tied across the face.
