Stolen pickup blows through RIDE check, two suspects sought

The truck was stolen from the owner's driveway just moments before incident, say OPP

Provincial police hope to identify two suspects after a stolen vehicle failed to stop for a RIDE check in the area of Seadon Road and Byers Street in Springwater Township early Monday morning.

At around 1:30 a.m., Hironia West OPP says "a darker-coloured Ford F-150 pickup truck with a chrome grill and detailing approach the RIDE program followed by a newer matte grey model Mercedes four-door sedan. Both vehicles accelerated past the RIDE program without stopping."

Following a licence-plate check, officers were informed that the pickup truck had been stolen from the owner's driveway a few minutes prior.

The theft incident was captured by video surveillance and the pickup truck owner provide suspect details to the officers.

Suspect #1 was described as:
    •    Thin build
    •    approximately six-foot-three  tall
    •    wearing navy blue pants with grey underwear protruding from beneath, a black hood jacket, black ski mask and blue surgical gloves

Suspect #2 was described as:
    •    Dressed in all black with face mask
