MIDLAND - On Sept. 21, 2017 at approximately 6:22 p.m., a member of the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) located and stopped a motor vehicle on Highway 12 in the Town of Midland, Ont. A Police check revealed that the registered owner of the vehicle was suspended from driving.
The driver of motor vehicle was the registered owner and it was confirmed that her driver's licence was under suspension.
Charged with driving while under suspension contrary to the Highway Traffic Act is Brandy Robertson, age 31 of Midland, Ont.
On the same date at approximately 8:40 p.m., a member of the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment stopped a motor vehicle on Highway 93 in the Town of Midland, Ont. for a traffic violation. Police confirmed that the driver who was the registered owner was operating the motor vehicle while his licence was under suspension.
Cody Moreau, age 24 of Tay Township, Ont. has been charged with, driving while under suspension, fail to surrender permit for vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. Further, he has been charged with fail to have insurance card contrary to the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act.
Both drivers are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on Nov. 2, 2017 in Penetanguishene, Ont.
