Police responded to a break and enter to a small business located on Mapleview Drive, West in the City of Barrie, on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2017.

A further investigation determined the break and enter occurred sometime throughout the early hours of Thursday morning. The suspects gained entry after cutting through a hard plastic tarp which had been covering the side of the building.

Once inside, the suspects gathered numerous tools along with two small snowmobile engines and exited the shop unnoticed. It is believed the suspects fled the area in a vehicle, which may have been parked a short distance from the shop.

A week prior to the incident four young men had entered the business and were inquiring into snowmobile repairs, although were requested to leave by the owner as their behavior became suspicious.

The men are described as;

  • 25 to 35 years old
  • Driving a late model Chevrolet pick-up truck, red in colour, Canadian Flag in the back window and a dent in the rear bumper.
