A man who police say refused to leave a Barrie convenience store late Monday night was arrested and charged.
Barrie police say the 26-year-old refused to leave a Cundles Road West store when asked, several times, by the shopkeeper.
Officers responded at just after 11:30 p.m. on Jan. 13 to a report of an unwanted person there.
When officers attempted to reason with the man and directed him to leave, police say he refused.
After a brief struggle that saw some displays knocked over, police say the man was taken into custody.
He has been charged with failing to leave a premises when directed, under the Trespass to Property Act, and criminally with resisting a peace officer.
The man has been held in custody and is scheduled to appear later today, by video, for a bail hearing.
