On Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2017 at 9 a.m., officers from Barrie Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a silver Honda Accord on Highway 11 northbound.
This vehicle had been reported stolen to Peel Regional Police on Aug. 25, 2017 and had also been reported as a suspect in a gas drive off in the City of Barrie on Aug. 29, 2017 prior to being observed on Highway 11.
The motor vehicle pulled into a parking lot near Line 15 North in Oro-Medonte Township and after investigation the following persons were arrested and charged.
Joseph Decunha, 36-years-old of Hanover, Ont.:
- Possession of property obtained by crime contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code
- Possession of an identity document contrary to section 56.1 of the Criminal Code
- Fail to comply with recognizance contrary to section 145(3) of the Criminal Code
Molly Klages, 26-years old of Arran-Elderslie, Ont.:
- Possession of property obtained by crime contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code
- Possession of and identity document contrary to section 56.1 of the Criminal Code
Both accused's have been held for a Bail Hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Barrie on Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2017.
