Numerous shots were fired into the bedroom window of a Georgina residence Sunday night.
When York Regional Police officers responded to a report of the sounds of gunshots at a residence on Danny Wheeler Boulevard, near Valleo Street Nov, 3 at about 11 p.m., they saw an upstairs bedroom window was shattered with what appeared to be bullet holes, a news release said.
Upon a search of the area, officers located numerous shell casings on the driveway and on the road in front of the home. Bullet holes were observed in the upstairs bedroom of the home, police said. No one was injured.
Video obtained by police shows a suspect approached the home on foot, fired numerous rounds, then fled in a waiting white sport utility vehicle.
Investigators are seeking any video surveillance from the area or anyone who may have captured dash-cam video on the roadways at that time. Anyone who has not yet spoken to police is asked to contact police at 1-866-876-5423, ext. 7341, or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS, or leave an anonymous tip online.
