A Bradford woman is facing charged after police say she became violent with officers when they arrived to investigate a complaint.

Around 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 16, South Simcoe police say they received "multiple calls" about an impaired woman asking for help to charge her Tesla on private property.

When police arrived on scene, officers observed a woman sleeping inside the car and an open liquor container in the passenger seat.

Officers were able to wake her up and noticed signs of impairment, according to police.

The woman was placed under arrest for being intoxicated in a public place.

During the course of the arrest, police say the woman "actively resisted and kicked officers multiple times."

The 39-year-old Bradford woman has been charged with obstructing a peace officer, assaulting a peace officer and being intoxicated in a public place.
