I would like to know how people think the government supports addictions by having safe sites. The reason they have them is so people who have these addictions use the site in a safe environment, with resources there to help individuals and out of the general public. Not in parks or backyards. Let me add that not everyone using the various access spots in the city where people give lunches or food items are just for the homeless. The general price of rent, utilities and food help the other people in the city where even if they have a full time job they can't make ends meet. I'm so tired of people who have never experienced this have the, " NOT IN MY BACKYARD" viewpoint and are so quick to judge. Yes, things need to improve but to have these, " bylaws" in place before even having the meetings take place is like putting a blindfold on and hoping to hit a balloon with a dart.
