The fact and reality is, eventually there is going to be multiple high-rise buildings in the downtown area and all along the lakeshore. Barrie is one of the fastest growing cities in Canada! As the population grows, so does the need for multi-living buildings. Decades ago the nimbies said no to growth in the downtown core but Bayshore Landing was built anyways, as were other buildings along Lakeshore. This is city living, if you don't like it, it's time to sell.

Violence in schools isn't necessarily a school's problem to solve, this is a systemic issue. All children should feel safe at school and yet they don't. How many students feel supported by their teachers, feel safe and confident that any one of the educators they approach would be supportive and thorough. Looking at the CCI event, we should question what lead up to the event and what was done over the many months prior to circumvent that event.

A much better idea than the rotating speed cameras.

There won't be 50% voter turnout anywhere. It'll be much less.

Absolutely it has, but let's not forget that there is an exaggerated salary portfolio that is not being impacted by the reduction of international students. Not everyone is getting a cut in hours, not everyone is losing their jobs, not everyone is taking a cut to their salary.

Is Kevin Weaver taking a cut in his over 300K salary, along with several other executive office making upwards of 300K? No more 14% annual raises for senior offices? See where the real problem is?

I wonder how people felt about their view being obstructed when the Bayshore Landing was built?
