Is it really a catastrophe that Orillia stays “A”? Only the very best of AAA are likely to have a tiny chance to play pro hockey. Otherwise, it’s just kids having fun, building friendships and memories. Zero has changed.

More support of colleges and universities is definitely needed but how many of these positions were created after the influx of millions of foreign students? That is not a good economic model to base growth on. Although it seems to be the ideology of the Trudeau government.

A team that has earned the respect and interest of Orillia. Hoping they continue to soar to new heights on and off the ice.

Yes WW, what is missing is the ability for children to be on line 24/7. Brilliant! Then they can avoid interacting with other children and learning the lessons in life that aren’t on line.

Yes Richard, parents are actually expected to take care of their own children. How has society been reduced to this? It’s called, “having a plan”. If people choose to live where a bus is provided, it’s going to happen. We work, we dropped our kids off at the school, we all survived!

“Take a PA Day” Right there shows you don’t have a clue what you are talking about. The ministry and school board dictates and plans them the year before. Nice try though and thanks for the laughs, Dick.

I was merely counter pointing the negative attacks on Member Dunlop. It’s a democracy, I’ve seen greater oppression that’s for sure. JW, you’re going to be angry and frustrated for a long time because she will be MP in Simcoe North as long as she chooses. No matter what you or I think.

JW….nowhere in my comment did I indicate myself or any of the events that were visited were pro-PC. I was simply saying I’ve seen our MP out and about and I do believe, as a cabinet minister, she has a hand in decision making. I pointed out that, hopefully, she answers critics more positively moving forward. And since this riding has been PC since Confederation, she will be the member elected on election day. I dislike name calling and such and to call her a hostess is both inaccurate and insulting to any public servant duly elected 🤷🏻♂️ Nomination papers are always available for those who feel they can do better.

The Dunlop’s have had a long track record of public service. I have seen her father and her at gatherings and small events time and time again. I’m not arguing any politics but I believe there are many more supporters than critics. I’ve said before I’m pragmatic and often criticize PC decisions regarding health care, the environment and financial management. But Jill Dunlop will represent our riding again. I expect to see many positive changes in her interactions with constituents as she has also learned many important lessons.

You think AA magically improved the development of hockey players in this are? Wrong. It’s population based and Orillia is a small centre compared to the larger areas. North Simcoe AAA has never been able to complete with larger centres. Crazymom, you are critical of a lot, even without any understanding of the particulars.
