CLOSER LOOK: Why the fraud industry is booming in Canada

Ford promised in his election campaign in 2018 that he would build jails. Not one jail cell has been built in seven years, not one. In some cells that should hold four, there are seven or eight people. That actually is against the international human rights laws, and that is why so many judges ( unfortunately) have to let so many out on bail. If a case is taken to the international courts, we will pay billions. There are also innocent people that are in jail where bail has been denied.
Go yell at Ford. It’s not quite as profitable for all his developers to build jails.
Seven years. Not one cell built.

Oh my. Please educate yourself on the Canadian Parliamentary system.
Not being voted in? You mean like Kim Campbell (so she’d take the fall for Harper), Joe Clark, John Turner, MacKenzie King (twice) and…….John A. MacDonald, Sir John Abbott, Sir Mackenzie Bowell? It’s very easy to check, and in fact, there was an article on it on City News written about by Michael Saab of The Canadian Press on March 9, 2025.

You want an egregiously uneducated person with Gr. 12 education to run our country?
It is massively embarrassing that he is the premier of our largest province financially and by poulation and he embarasses us all the time. Gr. 12!!!!

Wellington St. From St. Vincent to Berczy is a minefield. This is a main east-west street and you cannot stay in your own lane and drive more than 15kph without risking damage to your car. It is truly horrendous and has been like this for years.
Peel St. between Sophia and Codrington is like a minefield that has been blown to smithereens. 5 km literally, is the top safest speed. In some patches there is no tar left, it is right down to the earth. Codrington St., at that same corner is terrible.

@not of the body I don’t ever remember him, throwing his support behind the provincial liberal candidate when he was mayor.
I do remember him stepping down as mayor to run as a liberal candidate in the last provincial election.
Please post when Leman, in his role as mayor, publicly endorsed a Liberal candidate. If you find one and post it, I will be appalled that he did that, just as anyone should at this unethical action.

The public - the citizens, the voters - should certainly know about these partisan actions and be able to judge.
So.... you're saying that these actions would be okay with you, no matter what party a mayor endorsed, in this way?

Completely unethical. Despicable.
Done purposefully blatantly knowing 100% that it was wrong.
Did he do it anyway hoping he could sway some voters and IF there was a backlash he could says "sorry" but the influence had already worked so it would be a small price to pay?
I wonder just where he will be headed in his next career step. /s

Quite the conspiracy theory from the far right.
Any member of a federal party can vote for their leader - just like the cons did every time. The leader of ANY party is voted in by party members - anyone that joins their party - it’s a very simple method.
Those that want to be leader of ANY party, (example Harper or PP or Singh including all that ran against them (Patrick Brown) file their name after drumming up some support from people that support their party publicly or privately, pay the required entrance fee and get out and campaign among their party members - it’s a very simple method.
EVERY party uses the same basic rules and methods. You’re acting like they’re different for the liberals.
You could have joined the Fed Libs and voted today if you’re that concerned.
PP is really running scared no matter who gets in today. His far-right attitudes that he tries to hide, and lack of solutions except four-word slogans, are coming back to bite him.

Yes, Ford wants this extremely undemocratic way to get information out to voters. He wants his exaggerations only and don't dare fact-check him! He will always be the Trumpette following exactly how Trump works.
