This year’s F. Joseph Anderson Award was presented to Betony Main.

The award honours the contributions of TIFT’s founding chair, F. Joseph Anderson, and was created to recognize an individual who has made an exceptional impact furthering the objectives of TIFT through a variety of means relative to their capacity.

Some of the previous recipients have included Matthew MacQuarrie-Cottle, Aline Revoy, Bernetta Starkey, Beth Foster and Joe Pagnan.

Self-described as an organizational dramaturg, Betony has been a very familiar face around TIFT for years. She started out as a staff member and served on the board of directors before becoming the board chair.

She has been an invaluable resource in the pursuit of funding and in involving and engaging students in the arts.

Talk Is Free Theatre really would not be the company it is today without everything Betony has done. We appreciate you so much.
