A section of Blake Street in Barrie's east end will be closed next week.
From Monday, Oct. 2 until Friday, Oct. 6, the road will be shut down from Puget Street to Downsview Drive.
The city say the closure is associated with its 2023 road resurfacing program. The work is subject to weather conditions.
Access for residents within the closure is to be maintained, and emergency services will have access to respond within the closure but not to travel through it.
Detour route in effect:
Blake Street – Shanty Bay Road – Johnson Street – Blake Street
Codrington Street – Puget Street – Steel Street – Johnson Street – Blake Street.
The roadway will also be closed to buses.
