Blue Mountain Resort is gradually bringing back outdoor events, and this March break plans to go big with its first-ever on-hill ski show.

The Big Air Show at Blue, slated for Tuesday, March 15, will feature a 50-foot ski jump where Ontario freestyle athletes will perform tricks and there will be a choreographed music and light show.

"We are so excited to see the return of outdoor spectator events with the inaugural Big Air Show here at Blue Mountain,” Erika Langman, manager of event sales at Blue Mountain Resort, said in a news release. “This one-hour performance will be something truly unique to Blue and like nothing we have ever done in recent history."

The show is free, and guests can watch it at 8 p.m. at the Silver Bullet lift plaza at the base of the Smart Alec ski trail. The ski hill and show will close at 9 p.m. and there will be fireworks after that over the Mill Pond.

"We partnered with the choreographers of the national water ski show team, Summer Water Sports, and local sound and audio provider, Cass Audio to bring this to life," stated Langman. "All the top skiers and snowboarders in the province have been invited to take part so not only will the level of riding timed to music and lights be exciting to watch, the comedy and crowd engagement layered into the show add such a fun element for spectators of all ages.”

There are lots of other activities for guests to enjoy both on and off hill throughout the March Break. Details about the Big Air Show and the entire March Break lineup of events are posted on the resort website here.
