SPRINGWATER TWP. — A Barrie man faces impaired charges following a single-vehicle crash on Snow Valley Road, Monday evening.
Huronia West OPP officers responded to the scene, west of Bayfield Street North, shortly before 6 p.m. on Nov. 18 and launched an impaired-driving investigation.
Zachary West, 26, of Barrie, has been charged with operation of a motor vehicle while impaired (alcohol and drugs), operation while impaired (blood-alcohol concentration 80 plus), and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
He was also charged under the Highway Traffic Act with being a novice driver with a blood-alcohol concentration above zero.
The accused is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
None of the allegations have been tested in court.
