A west-end Barrie neighbourhood looked like a scene from a movie Tuesday night after police officers descended on a Bronte Crescent home.
Barrie police communications co-ordinator Peter Leon told BarrieToday that officers were on scene in the area of Browning Trail and Lampman Lane to assist another police service with an investigation they were conducting.
“I can’t really provide any more details than that,” he said.
Barrie police did utilize Rescue 1, the department’s armoured vehicle, as well as the canine unit.
“We had the resources that were necessary to assist the other police service with their investigation,” said Leon, noting if charges were laid it would have been done so through the other police service.
No other details have been released.
