A teenager from Owen Sound faces impaired-driving charges after a vehicle was found running in an Essa Township ditch Saturday night.
Nottawasaga OPP officers responded to a traffic complaint shortly before 11:30 p.m. on Nov. 16 about what was believed to be an abandoned vehicle around the 30th Sideroad.
Police say that when officers arrived they found a man inside the vehicle, asleep at the wheel
A 19-year-old Owen Sound resident has been charged with adult operation of a motor vehicle while Impaired (alcohol and drugs) and operation of a motor vehicle while impaired (blood-drug concentration).
In addition to the charges, the driver was issued a 90-day licence suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford on Dec. 12.
