The Ardagh Bluffs offers an expansive natural escape right in the heart of the city.
The hilly, wooded area consists of 518 acres bordered by Ardagh Road, Mapleview Drive and Essa Road in southwest Barrie.
The city indicates on its website that the Ardagh Bluffs contains more than 17 kilometres of recreational trails and has a total area of 518 acres, most of it environmentally protected.
The trails are primarily designated for walking and hiking and motorized vehicles are prohibited.
Parking is available at the Peggy Hill Team Community Centre, located at 171 Mapleton Ave., and the trails can be accessed across the street.
